Reba McEntire Warms Hearts With $10 Million Pledge to Build ‘Paradise’ for Stray Animals

Posted on July 5, 2025 By admin

Nashville, TN — In a heartfelt announcement that has touched fans and animal lovers around the world, country music legend Reba McEntire has revealed plans to invest $10 million of her own money to build a sanctuary — or as she calls it, a “paradise” — for stray dogs and cats.

The project, which will be located just outside Nashville, aims to rescue thousands of abandoned and neglected animals, providing them with shelter, care, and ultimately, loving homes.

“Animals have given me so much joy throughout my life,” Reba said in a written statement. “They deserve more than what so many of them get. I just want to do my part to make sure they feel loved, cared for, and wanted.”

A Queen With a Heart of Gold

For decades, Reba has reigned as The Queen of Country, winning countless awards, selling millions of albums, and inspiring fans across generations with her powerful voice and authentic storytelling. But behind the stage lights and accolades, she has also quietly supported causes close to her heart — particularly those involving children, education, and animal welfare.

Those close to Reba say she has always been an animal lover. Growing up on a ranch in Oklahoma, she was surrounded by horses, cattle, and family dogs, and she credits that upbringing for teaching her the value of kindness toward all creatures.

“I’ve always believed that you can tell a lot about someone by the way they treat animals,” she said. “And I want to set an example worth following.”

A Safe Haven for the Forgotten

Tentatively named Reba’s Ranch for Rescues, the sanctuary will be a sprawling facility built on 100 acres of donated land. According to her team, it will include:

  • Modern kennels and catteries designed to reduce stress and improve comfort.

  • On-site veterinary services offering spay/neuter clinics, vaccinations, and rehabilitation.

  • Outdoor play spaces, walking trails, and training programs to prepare animals for adoption.

  • Community outreach programs to promote adoption and responsible pet ownership.

  • Special partnerships with schools and senior homes to encourage intergenerational engagement with rescue animals.

The sanctuary is expected to rescue and rehome thousands of animals each year, while also serving as a model for other communities.

Construction of Reba’s Ranch for Rescues is set to begin in early 2025, with doors expected to open by late 2026. Reba has said she plans to be hands-on throughout the process and looks forward to visiting the sanctuary often — not just as its founder, but as a volunteer.

While she’s quick to insist that this isn’t about her, fans who know her best aren’t surprised by her decision.

“That’s just Reba,” said one longtime fan. “Always thinking of others, always giving back.”

Conclusion: Love Without Conditions

For Reba McEntire, creating a paradise for stray animals is simply another way to live the values she’s always stood for — kindness, humility, and generosity.

“These animals don’t have a say in what happens to them,” she said. “But we do. And I hope this inspires others to help in any way they can.”

Or, as one fan put it perfectly in a viral tweet:

“Reba doesn’t just sing about love — she lives it.”
