BREAKING: Colin Cowherd Drops Bold Take on Jordan Love’s Performance After Monday Night Showdown!

Posted on December 26, 2024 By truong truong

Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd took a break from glazing his beloved Sam Darnold to show some love to another impressive NFC North quarterback: Green Bay Packers signal caller Jordan Love.

On Tuesday’s edition of The Herd, Cowherd spoke glowingly of Love following his standout performance against the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football yesterday. But while giving Love tons of love (pun slightly intended), he declared that much like current Hall of Famer Brett Favre and future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers, Love may join his two predecessors in Canton someday too.

“Three straight quarterbacks — Star, star, star. Favre is in the Hall of Fame, Rodgers will be and Love looks like he’s on his way,” Cowherd declared.

Fans in the comments were a little more reluctant to book their trips to Love’s Hall of Fame induction ceremony:

“Love puts up an 88.7 passer rating against one of the worst teams in the league and Colin has him in the Hall of Fame hahaha He’s barely even a current top ten QB. You can’t say he’s in his way to the Hall of Fame,” one user replied.

“The problem with this praise is it’ll be sandwiched between arguments against the very point(s) he just made. Guy loves his own voice,” another pointed out.

“Draft and develop. But let’s slow our roll a bit, Love is not on his way to a HOF career. Not yet at least. But very promising start. Ecstatic that they found another franchise QB,” a third wrote.

Jordan Love has more than proven in his two years as a starter that the team was right to draft and develop him. He’s 18-12 as a starter since taking over in 2023 and already has a playoff win under his belt.

While not every aspect of his game has improved this year over last, he still hasn’t even reached his prime playing years and there’s plenty of room for him to continue growing.

The only thing that may get in the way of Love winning a Super Bowl in the next couple of years is the fact that he’s competing in an historically tough division with the Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings.

If Love retired tomorrow, he wouldn’t be in Canton. But as Cowherd suggested, there’s optimism that he could get there someday.
