Elon Musk, founder of Tesla and SpaceX, has completed the $790 million acquisition of media company ABC. This deal immediately caused a stir in the media and fans around the world. However, not only because of the huge amount Musk spent on the acquisition, but also because of the unexpected event that followed.

Immediately after the deal was announced, Musk decided to cancel the program “The View” – a famous talk show in the US, where hosts discuss hot and topical topics. Musk’s decision is directly related to an incident on the show, when Alec Baldwin, one of the guests, called Musk a “scumbag” on live  television.

Although Baldwin later apologized for his comments, Musk did not change his decision to end the program. Many people believe that Musk’s decision reflects the tough and decisive personality of a famous investor and businessman, while others believe that this is just an overreaction to a spontaneous statement.

Despite the criticism, many in the media industry also predict that with Musk’s influence and ability to generate attention, this is just one of his strategic moves in building and consolidate his own media empire.
