The Downtown SF Partnership is once again pulling out all the stops with Let’s Glow SF, the largest holiday projection mapping display in the United States.

The displays will be up in the Financial District and surrounding areas and easily viewed via a self-guided walking tour from Dec. 7-15, 2024, between 5-10pm each night. The light exhibition will also have a “Countdown to Glow” opening night on Dec. 6 from 5 to 7pm at the foot of Market Street facing the Ferry Building.

At “Countdown to Glow,” audiences will be treated to exciting performances from Catalyst Arts, Circosphere, musical guests, complimentary hot chocolate from Sunset Roasters and Marley’s Treats, and scrumptious pizza available for purchase from Mozzeria.

You’ll be able to pick up free Let’s Glow SF swag while supplies last, and attendees are also invited to bring new and gently used winter coats to donate to underserved families.

Each building’s façade will be brilliantly illuminated with a dynamic light show designed specifically for that location. Downtown San Francisco is totally transformed with multiple high-tech projectors. See holiday-themed stories played out in stunning detail, transforming the buildings into dynamic canvases that seem to defy the laws of physics. The works represent thirteen different artists known both locally and internationally.

A new festive block party—Glow on Front: A Neon Block Party—is an all-ages block party that will be held in the city’s entertainment zone on Front Street on December 13 to celebrate the beloved light installation. The party is family friendly with music and whimsical winter performers. Guests over 21 can also enjoy to go beverages within the entertainment zone from participating bars.

“Let’s Glow SF is a beloved annual holiday tradition in downtown San Fransisco, where world-class artists use iconic downtown buildings as their canvas. We’re looking forward to this year’s expanded footprint, as well as entertainment and food offerings, so more residents and visitors can experience this illuminating, immersive experience,” said Robbie Silver, President and CEO of the Downtown SF Partnership.

  • A Hidden Audience Member – And a Message from the One Who’s No Longer Here New York, July 14, 2025. As Paul McCartney performed “Here Today” — the song he wrote for John Lennon — he noticed an elderly man in the front row, silently weeping, clutching an old sketch of the two Beatles as young men sitting and singing together on a Liverpool sidewalk. After the show, Paul asked to meet him. The man said only one thing as he handed over a worn envelope: “I was John’s schoolmate. I’ve kept this for 60 years, waiting for the right person to give it to.” Inside was a handwritten lyric: “If I go first, don’t cry – I’ll still play rhythm when you sigh.” Paul stood still, eyes lifted to the New York night sky. “So you’re still writing, aren’t you, John?”.
