The Voice plans big Season 30 reunion with Blake Shelton and stars, but fans may be surprised by the coach lineup
The Voice is gearing up for its landmark Season 30, and early reports suggest producers are aiming high — both creatively and financially — as they attempt to assemble one of the show’s most star-studded coaching panels in years.
Following the Season 29 finale, where Alexia Jayy was crowned winner and Adam Levine secured his fourth coaching victory, it was confirmed the hit NBC series will return for a milestone 30th season in fall 2026. However, while Levine is the only coach currently confirmed to return, the rest of the lineup remains wide open and potentially full of surprises.
At present, NBC has not officially announced the full coaching panel, but Levine has already signaled his return, saying he is “having so much fun doing it” and plans to continue as long as the show wants him.

Blake Shelton reunion reportedly being explored
Behind the scenes, however, producers are reportedly pushing for something much bigger.
According to industry reports, the network is actively exploring a major reunion involving longtime fan-favorite coach Blake Shelton, alongside potential returns from Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, and Kelly Clarkson — a combination that has never fully reunited on the show at the same time.
A production source described Season 30 as a deliberate “milestone moment,” explaining that NBC is willing to invest heavily to bring back major names.
“For season 30, they want to go big since it will be a milestone year,” the insider said, noting that discussions are still ongoing and nothing has been finalized.

The source also revealed that producers have long wanted to reunite Shelton and Levine, a duo known for their on-screen chemistry and rivalry during earlier seasons.
“But the producers are trying to lock in a deal to get Blake and Adam back together, they’ve wanted that for years and think 30 is an opportune time to make it happen,” the insider added.
The rumored dream lineup would include Levine, Shelton, Stefani, and Clarkson — though the source stressed that “nothing is official yet,” and negotiations remain fluid.
One of the biggest challenges, according to the report, is cost.
“The biggest challenge is getting Blake and Gwen back at all, it’s most likely going to cost the show a fortune to make that happen,” the insider noted.

Format changes still possible for Season 30
Beyond the coaching panel, the format of Season 30 also remains uncertain. Recent seasons have already experimented with changes, including reduced live voting and pre-taped results. It is still unclear whether the upcoming milestone season will return to a traditional live-show format or continue with its revised structure.
Blake Shelton reflects on his time away
Blake Shelton previously stepped away after Season 23, explaining that he wanted to focus on his music career after more than a decade on the show.
“I did 23 seasons of the show and I enjoyed it,” Shelton said in a past interview. “But by the time I got to that last season, it was time.”
Despite leaving, he has remained closely tied to the show’s legacy and continues to appear in lighthearted references and moments shared by current coaches.

Season 30 still taking shape
As of now, only Adam Levine is confirmed for Season 30, leaving the remaining seats on the coaching panel still up in the air. With filming not expected to begin until late spring or early summer 2026, producers still have time to finalize negotiations and potentially deliver one of the most high-profile reunions in the show’s history.
