Dominik Mysterio may have pulled off the upset of the year on Monday Night RAW with Liv Morgan by his side. However, his girlfriend also witnessed him getting obliterated as the show came to a close.
This week, courtesy of Carlito and Adam Pearce, Dominik Mysterio got his match against a former World Champion in an attempt to get one step closer to World Heavyweight Title holder Gunther. Adam Pearce revealed that the ex-World Champion was none other than Damian Priest – a man Dominik once sided with.
In a shocking finish to the main event, Dominik Mysterio got a roll-up victory to defeat Damian Priest. While Dirty Dom was elated at first, the man formerly known as “El Campeon” exacted his revenge with a post-match attack and series of chair shots, all in front of Liv Morgan.
This amped up the build to WWE Crown Jewel 2024 on the RAW side of things. It’s a huge setback for Damian Priest, who confronted Gunther and teased a future match between them.
As mentioned, this is undoubtedly one of the biggest upsets of the year on Monday Night RAW and another major feather in Dominik’s cap. However, he wasn’t able to celebrate for very long.
